The Congregation of the Augustinian Missionary Sisters was founded in Spain in 1890.  It owes its orign to the commitment and vision of a small group of cloistered Augustinian nuns and their concern for abandoned and orphaned children.

Sr.Clara Canto, Sr Monica Mujal and Sr. Querubina Samarra were three Sisters who with their devoted enthusiasm, inspired by Father Salvador Font, OSA founded the Congregation in Madrid.

The Congregation was established in India in February 1986.  The source if their spirituality is the GOSPEL lived out in today’s world in keeping with the spirit of St.Augustine
